USA-Northeast & Central Canada (ON/QC)
Doug & Sharon Martin
Executive Director of EveryEthne
Support the Martins
The Martins have been in full-time state-side and overseas ministry for 35 years. They currently lead a team of over 70 missionaries and church planters across the United States and Canada. An investment in Doug and Sharon is an investment in the creation of new tools and resources like the “Heart, Mind & Soul” seminars that Doug helped create. Through these tools, and the two additional seminars Doug is in the process of creating, the Martins ministry is transforming individual lives as well as reshaping the culture of local churches.
Tim & Barb Vermilyea
Regional Director for USA-Northeast & central canada (on/Qc)
Support the Vermilyeas
Tim and Barb Vermilyea have lived in the French-speaking environment of the Quebec City region (Quebec, Canada) since 1986. They helped plant two churches and taught for over 20 years in a Bible college in the city. Today they are working with EveryEthne teams in Ontario/Quebec and in the USA-Northeast (mentoring, coaching, encouraging). They are helping mobilize teammates for Montreal and Toronto, two key cities with great Gospel needs. They are also working with Credo Church and another brand new church plant in Quebec City.
Mark & Jill Billington
Mark and Jill work with Credo Baptist Church in Quebec City. They are involved in pastoring, discipleship training, teaching, outreach, and mentoring ministries in their church. One of the goals of the church plant was to be known \for their love for God, for each other and for their neighbors. As the Billingtons saw Credo reaching a level of stability and maturity they began to move forward on plans for a daughter church. After three years of dreaming, praying, and planning, they now have a team of 10 adults and their children that are being sent out from Credo.
Brennan & Kathleen Coughling
Brennan and Kathleen have served as church planting missionaries in Trenton, New Jersey for five years. The Coughlins praise God for their church plant, Fellowship Capital City, a multiethnic church in the state capital. Brennan and Kathleen are eager to start a Pregnancy Care Center in Trenton to offer hope and the love of Christ to mothers, fathers, and babies in the womb. An investment in the Coughlins is an investment in advancing the gospel in a state where only 3.11% of the population knows Jesus Christ.
Prodip Das & Cathrin Anee
Prodip and Cathrin are church planters in New York City. In 2016, God led Prodip to plant a Bengali church in Queens with a vision of reaching the more than 300,000 Bengali immigrants living in the New York area. Prodip and Cathrin’s ministry, outside of leading a church, is to regularly meet with Muslim people in New York and surrounding states. Only 0.3% of Bengali immigrants in New York are believers in Christ. Prodip and Cathrin are on mission with the church to preach the Gospel and make disciples among this people group.
Paul & Nastassja Hanna
Due to unrest throughout the Middle East, thousands of Arabic speaking people are coming to North America every day; many are Muslims. There is a large Spanish speaking population in North America as well. They all need to hear the gospel! Because of Paul and Nastassja’s unique backgrounds, Paul being Syrian by birth and culture, Nastassja being Peruvian, they both have the language and cultural foundation to help individuals and churches reach out to these precious souls. The Hannas are helping lead the Bridge seminar, assisting the local church to advance in its mission by reaching every ethnic group in its community.
Neil & Tone Hess
Over the last four years, Neil and Tone have been involved with the immigrant and refugee population in the Harrisburg, PA area. They help people with practical needs, life skills and learning English in order to help them integrate into American life. But their overall goal is to do Bible lessons, lead people to faith in Jesus and get them involved in a local church.
Dan & Joy Nichols
Dan & Joy have been married for 7 years and they have two boys: Landon (4) & Declan (Infant). Dan was the founding church planter for Restored Church in Wilkes-Barre, PA, and now he is the founder/director for The Northeast Collaborative (NEC) - a resourcing church network that empowers pastors to lead and launch healthy churches in Northeast America. Joy leads a ministry to mothers called MOPS Wilkes-Barre. Dan is finishing his Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) degree at Clarks Summit University where he also teaches one course as an adjunct professor.
Boris & Beth Ramirez
Have you ever felt isolated because no one around you speaks your language? Boris and Beth Ramirez felt that often as they learned Pokomchi, a Mayan language spoken by 100,000 people in the mountains of Guatemala. As Bible translators, Boris and Beth felt the loneliness of not being part of the larger culture around them. That experience prepared them for their work with ABWE after they returned to the USA in 2012. Millions of Spanish-speaking immigrants also feel lonely and isolated. Boris and Beth serve on the North America Leadership team, seeking ways to make God’s love real to the Hispanic immigrants among them. They help translate ABWE materials into Spanish and network with Hispanic pastors in
Sam & Hanni
Sam and Hanni joined the EveryEthne team with a passion to build bridges to Christ for Persian-speaking people in North America. Their ministry focuses on preparing and publishing Christian literature and resources in the Persian language and sending them to Persian churches, Bible study groups and individuals so they are properly resourced. Sam and Hanni also have established Persian Bible studies.
Fred & Jen Seiferth
Fred Seiferth and his wife Jennifer serve as church-planters with ABWE. Fred loves talking about God and the Bible in a way that makes sense so that people really get it, and often uses analogies from hunting, fishing, serving in the Army or other real world experiences to make a point really stick. Fred volunteers as a certified firefighter while also serving as the chaplain for both the fire and police departments. The Seiferths began planting Faith Community Church in late 2017, in the Harrisburg, PA area, as a result of the doors God was opening in the community through their first responder efforts. They are currently averaging around 50 people for their Sunday morning worship gatherings. Many of the people engaging with the church have little to no church background so they are praying for more partners to join the
Mandi’s family has been ministering in Canada since she was 9. Nearly 4 years ago, she too felt God leading her into missions and has been serving Him in Montreal since. She is currently the only ABWE missionary in Montreal. An investment in Mandi is an investment in her local French-speaking church, enabling her to continue leading their children’s ministry, and discipling young women. Additionally, your investment contributes to her role in the marketing, planning, and hosting of Rendez-vous Montreal trips which she and her team pray will be an effective tool to raise awareness about the needs in Montreal and burden the hearts of potential new partners.
