Clare & Donna Jewell

Regional Director of USA-West & Western Canada (BC/AB)
Support the Jewells
Clare & Donna joined ABWE in 2014 after 22 years of ministry at Lakewood Park Baptist Church in Auburn, IN where Clare served as the Senior Pastor. Clare & Donna now serve as the Regional Director for USA-West. Clare is also the Director of Church Multiplication for the EveryEthne initiative. Their passion is to reach lost people with the Gospel. They believe the best way to do this is to help churches reproduce disciples, leaders and churches. Their primary activities involve recruiting, assessing and training church planters, developing church planting “micro” networks, and setting up church planter residencies.

Stephen & Karen Borders

Stephen and Karen have been church planters with ABWE since 1978. They served in Lima, Peru in three churches through 1989 and have been church planting in California since 1990. Stephen and Karen have planted 3 churches in Southern California and now are the lead church planter at Iglesia Bautista Esperanza (Hope Baptist Church) in Vacaville in Northern California. They started this Spanish church plant with ESL (English as a Second Language) classes in two locations for six semesters. Some of the community contacts made through these classes became the nucleus to start their church plant.

Sam & Darlene Farlow

For 36 years the Farlows have been doing U.S.A. church planting and church restorations. Three church plants in CA and Idaho have been interspersed with three church restorations in CA, OR, and now CO. Still growing in their knowledge of reaching an every changing culture, the youthful Farlows are seeking to learn new methods to connect with millennials and younger who have such little knowledge of God and His Word. An investment in the Farlows would be an investment in evangelism and making disciples who make disciples.

Jim & Carol Garcines

Jim and Carol Garcines serve as missionaries in Elk Grove, California, having joined ABWE in 1998. Their ministerial focus is hospital ministry and using Jim’s gifts to counsel and disciple hospital patients dealing with sickness and mental illness.

Rodney & Susan Henderson

The Hendersons have been serving full-time in missions both overseas and state-side for over 15 years. Implementing cultural change within an aging church population requires vision, creativity, sensitivity, and persistence. Using these skills to promote the changing of their church culture, the Hendersons and their teammates model Christlike concern, love and respect for the Silver Saints while striving to reach their community with the good news of God’s saving grace. Supporting the Hendersons will promote this church’s recovery as they exhibit a love and concern for the lost and reach the community with the good news of the Gospel, thus fulfilling their part of the Great Commission.

James & Allene Latzko

Jim and Allene live in an area of Washington State where many people from Asia live and work. They teach English classes directed at helping them adjust to living in the United States. James and Allene also teach Bible Studies for internationals in their area. Have you ever heard someone speaking a foreign language in a store and wondered, “Have they heard about Jesus, our Savior?” James and Allene teach the Bridge seminar in churches. This seminar helps Christians to improve their ability to make friends with and disciple internationals.
